let the journey begin

I’m always mixed up between work and pleasure when I go abroad, but this time it’s totally for pleasure.
Okay, here’s the story:

[Day 1 / Feb 8] Gong Xi Fat Choi
After a bloody boring management meeting and trapped in an unbelievable Jakarta traffic jam, I surprisingly managed to catch the plane to Batam.
Had dinner at Nagoya and saw the beautiful Chinese New Year fire works with my brother’s friend, and then continued to experience the night life in Batam.
Gong Xi Fat Choi.

[Day 2 / Feb 9] Let me drown
Take a ferry straight to Singapore (who said it was fast?)
I cannot forget the moment when I saw my angel’s beautiful face that I love and miss so much, smiling when she looked at me.
Cooked upss.. microwaved our dinner and then hhhmm, we were drown in a laughter …. from dusk ‘till dawn.

[Day 3 / Feb 10] Eat when you starve
Woke up late in the afternoon and then realized that she’s actually so close and real, not only that two dimensional picture I see in the webcam monitor and heard her lovely voice on skype.
Watched the crowded Chinese New Year Festival, ask the women sculptor to carve our faces on clay.
Had a quite romantic dinner to eliminate our hunger or starvation? at Esplanade, continued to
take the authentic bumboat tour down the Singapore River at Boat Quay and finally spent the rest of the night drinking and sitting by the Clarke Quay riverside and savouring the activity all around this electrifying place.
Whooa, what a busy day..

[Day 4 / Feb 11] Beware of the wild animal
Cancelled the plan to see a movie, walked around the famous Orchard Road (not for shopping) but we actually got lost trying to find a restaurant (I forgot the name, who cares; even Shakespeare said “What’s in a name”)
Went to the Botanical Garden, not really explored the area, just stuck at the garden bench and talked. It’s amazed that we can talk for hours without running out of the topic.
Experience The Night Safari at Singapore Zoo which made her a little bit frightened.
End up again at Clarke Quay for a cup of coffee and after that I got my first
lovely persecution (don’t ask me what it is, will u? I’d really appreciate that.)

[Day 5 / Feb 12] Picnic
Picnic at Botanical Garden, sat on an eye catching fuchsia blanket and made loads of people jealous with our activity until the sun goes down.
Dinner at Fosters with Aiida, her funny Singaporean friend;
accompanied by a disturbing singer false voice as background.
It’s supposed to be my last night in Singapore, so we spent the rest of the night together, filled with laughter, talks about future, my second lovely persecution and hhhmmm another starvation. But hey .. it was fun… really.

[Day 6 / Feb 13] Supposed to be back
It’s a lazy day, just lie down on the couch and try to slow down the time. Headed for Tanglin Mall to buy something for her friend in Jakarta and then went to Harbour Front.
Unfortunately or Thanks God ?, I missed the ferry so we needed to wait for the next ferry and of course we have an extra time to spend.
But … I miss the next ferry also … whoaaaa, suddenly I realized that I really really love her and don’t want to separate. But the show must go on, and finally I made it.
It only took around 15 minutes for me to start missing her again, especially when the dvd on the ferry played a video clip of Rod Steward singing ‘When I Need You’.
Hhhmmm… I miss ya babe … and for sure ' a telephone can't take the place of your smile'
Guest what …. I missed the flight too. What a day .. So I had to spend the night at my brother’s friend again and had a delicious fish soup for dinner. Hmmm .. yummy..

[Day 7 / Feb 14] Home Sweet Home
Finally at 6.00 in the morning, my plane took off to Jakarta, on Valentine’s Day.
But babe, I just want you to know that since I know you, everyday is Valentine’s Day.
And it’s definitely the best journey I ever had.

C u on the next trip.
